Come work with us.

Opportunity: Analyst (Part-Time Fellowship)

  • We are advisors to a handful of emerging tech startups and a few publicly traded companies. We keep our standards high, working with teams that maintain a long-term commitment to a values-driven mission.

Our aim is to help support brilliant teams focused on solving real problems with frontier technology.

Our domains of focus are strategy, operations and business development.

Garden Labs was founded by Amanda Schwartz Ramirez, former business operations and strategy executive with 15 years of experience building tech-enabled businesses.

  • We are looking for an analyst (part-time pro, or MBA candidate) to join our team.

This core team member will work with us on specific projects related to growth and operations strategy for a handful of early-stage teams.

This opportunity is ideal for someone with strong analytical and collaboration skills – and importantly, someone that is interested in diving deeply into how frontier tech is developed, brought to market, and eventually adopted.

While parts of this fellowship may focus on crypto / web3 (as well as AI), please note:

    • You will NOT be spending your time: trading cryptos, developing war-game theories from tweets, generally bro’ing around, and certainly not breaking any laws.

    • You WILL work on a professional, positive, supportive team — interfacing directly with our portfolio / clients to dissect and address tough strategy and operational problems.

    • You WILL have access to a broad range of resources, including enterprise-grade research and data, and some of the brightest minds in web3.

    • You WILL add real, tangible value.

You’ll also leave with the sponsorship and support of our team, as you work to land your next full-time role.

This position is paid, fully-remote, and requires 20-30 hours of solid work contribution a week.

This opportunity is ideal as a spring internship, but could also be a productive pit-stop for someone early in their career and / or between opportunities and looking to move into the right tech role.

  • Your typical week may involve the following:

    • Performing research and analyses to develop insight into a technical or business area

    • Structuring, analyzing and making actionable recommendations to solve complex strategic and operational challenges

    • Evaluating new growth initiatives (partnerships, investments, M&A) and leading development of proposals and recommendations

    • Leading subject-matter expert calls, and attending events to develop relationships and gather insights from developers, founders, creators, and investors

    • Working directly with leading startup executives to understand their operational pain points and collaborate with their teams to relieve bottlenecks and drive sustainable growth

For reference, past projects have centered on the following:

    • Generative AI

    • Zero-knowledge proofs

    • Identity

    • Payments

    • Blockchain interoperability

    • Highly analytical and creative problem-solver: Able to structure and dive deeply into strategic and operational problem spaces. You are able to distill and anchor on first principles

    • Strong communicator: Skilled at relaying complex topics across a variety of audiences (executive and peer-level, technical and non-technical)

    • Natural collaborator, but able to work independently: Able to operate with high-ownership and comfortable both giving and receiving feedback

    • Deep fascination with frontier tech: No industry experience required — but deep interest in exploring what’s possible in an emerging space is a must!

    • Experience in research and analytics work: Perhaps you’ve worked in management consulting or a strategy / ops / BD function in a high-growth environment (bonus)

This opportunity is ideal as a spring internship, but could also be a productive pit-stop for someone early in their career and / or between opportunities and looking to move into the right tech role.
